Up and down the country, local elections and by elections will be taking place. Now is the opportunity to build a strong voice for SME’s in the local community and national government.

Below tells you how we do this, but the real ingredient is volume. The more members we have, the greater our voice.

Each month, 50% of your net subscription is donated to your chosen candidate’s party association. These funds will be used in line with your 1832 branch’s wishes This is likely to be to help the candidate get elected. You may alternatively choose to financially support your local MP. At other times, your branch funds can be saved to be used to lobby MP’s. Whatever happens, the choice is by the members

Each month, your branch will meet to socialise, network and share ideas. This is also an opportunity for councillors and MP’s to meet and hear members views. You will also receive a monthly online magazine called Biz Comic. This will include current burning issues and political commentary as well as some lighthearted material. Most importantly, each issue will contain a survey to complete. This survey will help form the basis for analytical research that will develop into policy ideas. These will be presented to all parties.

Each quarter there will be the opportunity for more formal dinners where a leading personality from Government, the media or the world of entertainment will address us. This will be open to members and their guests.
